A Little Clay. A Lot of Personality.

Clay & Birch Pottery is a small home based pottery studio based in Ontario, Canada, where creativity, colour and a little bit of humour come together.

I love working with clay because there are endless possibilities. From experimenting with different textures and glaze combinations to creating unusual shapes, I'm always exploring new ideas and seeing where they take me.

My work is a mixture of functional pottery, decorative pieces and the occasional slightly cheeky creation. Some pieces are simple and understated, while others are colourful, playful and full of character. I don't believe everything has to match, and I certainly don't believe pottery has to be boring.

Most of my pieces are individually hand-built, giving each one its own subtle differences and personality. I particularly love experimenting with glazes and the unexpected results that come out of the kiln.

Above all, I want to create pottery that people enjoy having in their homes — pieces that are beautiful, useful, a little different and made to be enjoyed every day.
